Spring Awakening follows a group of teenagers in a repressive 19th-century German society and their struggles with the confusion and curiosity of adolescence, including their exploration of sexuality and desires. With a score of contemporary rock music that transformed Broadway’s perception of musical theatre, Spring Awakening is a poignant and thrilling ride that stings with resonance for today’s youth.
